My PhilosophyÂ
I believe that one’s perspective heavily influences their thoughts and actions. Through exploring thoughts and perspectives athletes can find mental blocks that can hinder their performance. I believe that every athlete is different and because of that, I utilize a variety of different methods and therapeutic approaches in order to help athletes better their performance. A key component of my consulting philosophy is the emphasis on building strong rapport and trust with the athletes I work with. Establishing a connection rooted in understanding and empathy is essential for creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and challenges. This relationship allows me to better understand the unique experiences and needs of each athlete, enabling me to tailor interventions more effectively. Trust is the foundation upon which progress can be made, as it fosters open communication, buy-in, and a willingness to engage in the process. I Focus on creating a supportive and adaptable environment to help athletes perform at their best. By utilizing approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy, I aim to provide strategies that are flexible and tailored to each individual’s needs. Focusing on strengths, and encouraging goal-oriented solutions are all essential aspects of my work. I believe that progress comes from collaboration, self-reflection, and a willingness to adapt methods based on feedback. Moving forward, I am committed to continuing my growth as a consultant to ensure I can effectively support athletes in achieving their goals and overcoming challenges.
